1.  Mask.  You must wear a mask to enter the premises if you do not have one a mask will be provided.  Anyone who refuses will not be allowed in the studio.  You must keep your mask on at all time.  This will be enforced for everyones safety.

2.  Cancellation policy.  With the new restrictions we are opened for less time and are limiting the amount of people we see on a daily basis in the salon.  For this reason time is very precious to us and we will be enforcing a 24 hrs cancellation policy.  A 50% fee will be charged to those who are no shows or cancel 24 hrs prior to appointment.  In normal time we have been very relaxed in regards to cancelled appointment because we know life happens but at this time we will be charging for missed appointments.  A credit card will be taken at time of booking.

3. Service Charge.  Moving forward a $2 service fee will be added onto the complete bill.  We have had to upgrade the space and provide PPE to all of our clients.  This covers the added expense of keeping everyone save.

4. Washing Your Hands.  You will be asked to wash your hands when you arrive - we will also provide you with protective gloves if you wish however this is not mandatory.

BELMA SLATINA

I first met Belma early 2017 when enrolled in PHI Academy advanced Microblading training in Toronto. She travelled all the way from Washington to take the course and her dedication to the craft was clear. Belma wanted to learn the very best techniques to take back to her clients in the USA. Since this time I have seen Belma go from a small one person studio to owning and operating her own store front with several employees. What has always stood out amongst all of her accomplishments is her genuine interest in empowering woman and surrendering herself with those her are always trying to elevate their game to a higher level. It only seemed right to make Belma the first addition to Message From A PRO. Can’t wait to see what the coming year holds for her!

You're incredibly talented when it comes to microblading - Why did you get into brows?

Thank you JJ. 💕

I got into microblading hoping it would be a part time gig while I still raised my kids. I never thought it would turn into a huge passion as it did. I fell in love with it immediatly. I love helping other women feel confident and beautiful.

Often a career in beauty is a second career.  Did you do anything before you entered the brow industry?

I did. I was a property manager at an apartment complex for years. I voluntereed a lot as well at different Police Departments. I hold my BA in Law and Justice. My dream finishing school was to work for the FBI.

You talk a lot about empowering woman in business which is such a positive attribute - why is this so important to you?

It's important because I am child of immigrant parents. I witnessed a lot of things as a young girl in my home country. I also grew up during the war in Bosnia. Life definetly wasn't easy. My whole life I have been surrounded with strong women. I saw how capable and strong minded we are. I think we are strong, amazing, beautiful and powerful. I will always support another woman.

When you opened your studio, did you have a solid and clear vision in place on the direction you wanted you business to go in?

I knew if I put my mind it into it, it would be successful. I never give up. I did take baby steps and created a solid foundation for Royal Brows.

Have you had to make any adjustments to your vision along the way?

Just wake up and make a plan every single day. 😊

THE MANY PROS OF WEDDING LASHES

The Many Pros of Wedding Lashes

If you are new to eyelash extensions, you may be on the fence as to whether or not they are worth getting for your big day. Wedding days are milestones and rights of passages. They are huge stepping stones in your life which means they should be celebrated in every sense of the word. You should not only feel your very best on this special day, you should also look your absolute best!

With that being said, there are many pros of getting eyelash extensions for your wedding that make them well-worth getting.

1.    Enhance Your Natural Beauty: You are already beautiful, but lash extensions will enhance your look and take your beauty to the next level. They accentuate your gorgeous eyes - the same ones that you will be looking at your significant other with when you say the big words, ‘I Do’.

2.    Ditch the Mascara: There is nothing more terrifying than getting goopy, messy mascara off of your white wedding dress. With lash extensions, you will not have to worry about getting mascara on your gown.

3.    Long-lasting: You will more than likely be taking a honeymoon after your wedding. Lash extension will keep you looking gorgeous all vacation long, from morning till night!

4.    Perfect for Photos: Chances are that you will be reminiscing about your wedding day for decades to come. Why not look your absolute best for photos by enhancing your eyes and overall look with lash extensions? You will look amazing in close-up shots and distant shots with your new lashes.

5.    Hassle-Free: With so much already going on, your lash extensions will be the least of your worries. Getting lash extensions is a fantastic idea and will take the stress out of makeup application.

Be camera ready on your big day with gorgeous, long, beautiful lash extensions that will make everyone's jaws drop.

MICROBLADING AND INJECTABLES

A MESSAGE FROM JJ

I had a great conversation over the weekend with a registered nurse who specializes in injectables. She was curious about the process of Microblading and how I approached the service when someone had recently undergone treatment for botox or filler. For those wondering, filler can be placed in the forehead and temples and is not reserved for check and lip use only.

I explained that injectables of any kind in the brow region can present complications when doing Microblading because it adjusts the brow line and the overall symmetry of your face. Injectables take anywhere from 4-6 weeks to settle, so it is important to keep your Microblading artist in the loop when considering or planning any procedure. It is also important that those offering Microblading do an in-depth consultation with clients and ask specific questions in regards to injectables because it can greatly affect the outcome of your brows.

Personally, when it comes to my clients I ask that they wait 6 weeks after undergoing injectables before they schedule an appointment for Microblading or even a touch up on previous work. This way you have a perfect canvas to work with.
