BELMA SLATINA

I first met Belma early 2017 when enrolled in PHI Academy advanced Microblading training in Toronto. She travelled all the way from Washington to take the course and her dedication to the craft was clear. Belma wanted to learn the very best techniques to take back to her clients in the USA. Since this time I have seen Belma go from a small one person studio to owning and operating her own store front with several employees. What has always stood out amongst all of her accomplishments is her genuine interest in empowering woman and surrendering herself with those her are always trying to elevate their game to a higher level. It only seemed right to make Belma the first addition to Message From A PRO. Can’t wait to see what the coming year holds for her!

You're incredibly talented when it comes to microblading - Why did you get into brows?

Thank you JJ. 💕

I got into microblading hoping it would be a part time gig while I still raised my kids. I never thought it would turn into a huge passion as it did. I fell in love with it immediatly. I love helping other women feel confident and beautiful.

Often a career in beauty is a second career.  Did you do anything before you entered the brow industry?

I did. I was a property manager at an apartment complex for years. I voluntereed a lot as well at different Police Departments. I hold my BA in Law and Justice. My dream finishing school was to work for the FBI.

You talk a lot about empowering woman in business which is such a positive attribute - why is this so important to you?

It's important because I am child of immigrant parents. I witnessed a lot of things as a young girl in my home country. I also grew up during the war in Bosnia. Life definetly wasn't easy. My whole life I have been surrounded with strong women. I saw how capable and strong minded we are. I think we are strong, amazing, beautiful and powerful. I will always support another woman.

When you opened your studio, did you have a solid and clear vision in place on the direction you wanted you business to go in?

I knew if I put my mind it into it, it would be successful. I never give up. I did take baby steps and created a solid foundation for Royal Brows.

Have you had to make any adjustments to your vision along the way?

Just wake up and make a plan every single day. 😊
