Is the big day approaching and you are considering getting eyelash extensions? Great choice! You’ve come to the right place. With so many options, the decision can feel overwhelming and stressful. Fear not, with these makeup do’s and don’ts, you’ll be looking totally glam and fab on your big day.

Timing is everything – You want your eyelash extensions looking fresh and beautiful for your big day, so it is recommended getting them 2-3 days prior to the wedding. This will allow time for the lashes to settle, yet not enough time for them to fade in volume.

Take aftercare seriously – When getting eyelash extensions, be sure to avoid getting them wet, moist, or exposed to steam for 24 hours after they have been applied. This ensures that the adhesive has time to set and stay put! Say nay to the gym sweat, and avoid oily face washes, scrubs, and lotions for the best adhesive outcome.

Be picky with your facial cleanser – Seek an oil-free product that is classified for gentle skin. This will work in two ways; This cleanser will not tarnish the adhesive of your eyelash extensions, and will contain less damaging ingredients to your skin.

Watch how you sleep – If you are a stomach sleeper, we recommend staying away from that position for the 2-3 days leading up to the wedding, as this position tends to flatten your eyelash extensions. If you simply cannot resist sleeping on your tummy, you can use a mascara brush to straighten your eyelash extensions out again.

Stop touching – Each time you nip at your eyelash extensions, you run the risk of losing some as well as listening the adhesive that keeps them lookin’ fab! Without touching them, and with regular fill-ins, your lashes will look lush and beautiful.

Honeymoon Phase – The big day may be over, but your eyelash extensions still need some love! We recommend rinsing them with fresh water after you go for a dip in the ocean, lake, and pool. Also, avoid applying sunscreen in the eyelash area, is it may have the effect of reducing the adhesive.

Now that you are ready to look fresh and beautiful on your big day, go enjoy it! Your lashes are long, and your heart is full.
